Stoneburiers

Machinery for precise tillage

WHAT’S THE STONE BURIER MACHINE?

The stone burier or burying machine is a piece of machinery, essential for modern agriculture, that has the ability to improve efficiency and productivity in cultivation.

Specifically, the Ortiflor stone burier can, in a single operation, bury stones, clods of earth and surface vegetation, preparing the seedbed clean and level.

HOW DO THE STONE BURIERS WORK?

Thanks to its innovative technology, the stone burier consists of precisely designed elements that work in synergy to optimise soil tillage. Thanks to a counter-rotating, oversized rotor with specially designed blades, it moves and works the soil up to a depth of 40 cm. The soil is separated and the stones retained by means of a double comb, and thanks to the levelling guard it makes the soil even, improving its permeability, drainage, preventing water stagnation and avoiding the formation of tillage soles, perfecting the soil structure for all types of cultivation.

AVAILABLE TYPES AND MODELS

There are different types of stone buriers, each designed to meet specific agricultural needs. Basic stone buriers, bale and combination machines.

  • The basic stone burier is designed for working on level ground, ideal for open field or under glass, performing delicate work with great precision.
  • The ballast stone burier not only prepares the ground clean and level, but at the same time is capable of creating one or more ballast strips to design, with adjustable height according to sowing or transplanting requirements.
  • The combined stone burier is a customised machine that, thanks to various accessories, is able to prepare the clean and levelled ground, create one or more patterned furrows, position one or more drip wings and simultaneously lay one or more lines of film (plastic, biodegradable, non-woven fabric), distribute localised fertiliser and perforate the film.

BENEFIT OF USING STONE BURIERS

The use of stone burier in agriculture brings with it multiple benefits, both in terms of crop yield and environmental sustainability. Here are some of the most significant benefits:

The stone burier is designed to work even on land not previously worked or in extreme conditions, optimising soil care operations and significantly reducing time and effort. This translates into increased productivity and reduced operating costs. The efficiency of the stone burier also proves to be a valuable ally in the promotion of sustainable agricultural practices. Precise tillage limits the need for chemical interventions, encouraging the adoption of organic farming methods.
